Draw Near to God
Good Morning. Over the years, one thing I have learned about myself is my tendency to draw into myself when I’m in a funk so to speak. I keep everything very close to my chest. I won’t talk to God, and most certainly not my family and friends. Crazy huh? I know why in both instances. For family and friends, I don’t want to explain anything if they so happen to hear something off in my voice. God, because I’m sort of ashamed of how I’m feeling when deep down I know he has me. That’s been me for the last two weeks. James 4:8 (NKJV) says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” I apologized to my best friend yesterday because I felt like I haven’t been a good friend to her. She laughed because she didn’t notice. Talk to God. Don’t hold it in. Whatever you’re feeling let it out. Talk to a professional if you can’t talk to family or friends. Talking to a professional makes you no less of a person. You’re not crazy. It actually shows how strong you are by taking the steps to want to get better. I did it. There is no judgement. I don’t know who that last part is for, but know God loves you! Have a Blessed Day!
