It’s Not All That and a Bag of Chips

Good Morning. On my way to pick up my sister from work, I was thinking about all the things I’ve wanted in life, and God told me no. Not because he didn’t want me to have it, but because he had something better.  Have you ever gotten something or someone that you really wanted, but when you got it or them, you wanted to take it/them back?  I have.  LOL!  I remember at one time I was asking the Lord for an Infinity QX56. Can I tell you that I really wanted that truck.  One Christmas we were playing this game where we went around the room telling what we wanted for Christmas.  The person beside us had to tell us what they wanted, but also repeat what the person before them wanted as well.  The only things I wanted was that truck, and for my daddy to fix my ceiling.  My cousin came home that summer with a Infinity QX56.  I was like…I want that. I got in the truck, and the space was just not enough, in my mind, for me and my three kids.  Before sitting, driving, and taken in all the amenties of the truck, I thought it was all that and a bag of chips.  It wasn’t.  Not saying that it wasn’t nice.  It was just not for me.  A couple of years later, the Lord blessed me with Bessie, my 2004 Chevrolet Suburban.  Everything I asked God for, he gave it to me in that truck down to the 22′ inch rims I was rolling on.  Needless to say, everything that we ask God for is not always his best for us.  It’s not all that.  God’s best is just waiting for us if we take the time to just be patient.  What you are praying for will happen, but in God’s timing.  God loves you.  Have a Blessed Day!
