Your Legs Are Not Giving Out. Your Head Is Giving Up.

Good Morning. Back in middle and high school, I ran track. Myself along with others would have considered me to be very fast. I cannot say that now though…LOL! Anyway, I always ran sprints, but hated to run long distance. It would seem like I would always get tired and out of breathe during those times I had to run. When I went into the military, I had to run long distance. Basic training was hard because you were not only conditioning your mind, but also conditioning your body. Well, long story short, I had to run long distance, and actually did it very well.  Lets talk about the title of my blog.  This was exactly what was happening to me during middle and high school. I went into the run believing I could not do the long distance, and guess what? I did not. I even fell out one time. It was not my legs, it was my mind. Is that not how we sometimes deal with things in our lives? It is too hard. I cannot do it. What will others think if I did this or that? It is not about any of those things I have mentioned. It is what we believe about the journey we are embarking on. I have had plenty of business ideas. I have started and stopped a lot of them. My legs were not tired because I had not done anything. My mind gave up because of my doubts and fears. In those seasons, remember 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV), “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Keep pushing when your mind wants to give up. God will give you everything you need to accomplish that which he puts in your heart. Have a Blessed Day!
