Insane for Jesus

So as I was sitting in the dentist’s office yesterday waiting on my son, the topic Temporary Insanity came to mind. Mind you, I was like, “Lord, where are you going with this topic?” Anyway, I continued writing, and listening. Maybe God needs for me to tell you it’s time for you to be insane for him, not temporary, but all the time. So hence the topic, Insane for Jesus. “What does that mean Sebrena?” I’m so glad you asked. Let me first give you the definition of insane. Insane means 1. In a state of mind which prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill 2. Shocking; outrageous.  We’re not even focusing on the mentally ill part. I know we all think of mentally ill when it comes to being insane. We’re not claiming any mental illness in the Name of Jesus. Amen. Anyway, let’s focus on our state of mind as stated in the first definition. Having radical faith in God goes beyond our normal perception. It is not something that we see with our natural eyes, but our spiritual eyes. Our behavior changes because we know that no matter what we see, or what happens, we have a God that sits high and looks low. The way we walk, the way we talk let’s others know that this joy we have, the world didn’t give it, and the world can’t take it away. This is what others should see when they are around us. We as believers believe that God is going to do just what we ask if it’s his will. Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV), “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Our belief and faith needs to be grounded in Jesus. What would happen if we were totally insane for Jesus the one who made heaven and us? If he can do that plus all of the other miracles, imagine what he can do for us. Let God be insane in our lives and do something shocking and outrageous for us. He wants too! Have a Blessed Day!
