What is Meant for Us

Good Morning. Over a month ago, I applied for this position that I really and truly wanted. I prayed, believed, and prayed some more. The end result…it was given to someone else. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. I believed that this position would give me some of the things that I had been seeking. I am at a point in my life where I no longer want a job. I want a career. Of course, I went through the process of having good and bad thoughts, feelings and emotions.  We are not positive all the time.  Some of us give off the impression that we are until we are behind our closed doors.  As the old folks would say, “If I could be a fly on the wall.”  Eventually, I let it go. There was no need for me to continue to process it. At the end of the day, we should want God’s will to be done. It was not his will; therefore, I was not given the position. How many of us can attest that it’s hard sometimes when God’s will and our will do not coincide? Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I had to remind myself of this even when I didn’t want too.  Even though I did not get the position, there is a career with my name on it. What is meant for us will find our way to us. We just have to be patient and believe. Have a Blessed Day!
