Sometimes God Blesses through a Roundabout Way

“So God led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea. Thus the Israelites left Egypt like an army ready for battle.^” Exodus 13:18 (NLT)

Good Morning. As I was reading this chapter last night, this verse stuck out to me.  God led the Egyptians a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea.  I thought that was so interesting.  There was shorter route as mentioned in the text, but God had a plan.  Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”  We go through life.  We wonder why this happened and that happened.  It seems like it’s taking forever to get to the place we need to be.  Maybe God is taking you a roundabout way so you’ll know that once you get there, it’s not because of you.  It’s all about him.  He led you the roundabout way because there was some things along that way that he needed to teach you.  My God!  I’m getting chills just writing this.  Isn’t our God just awesome!  What you learned in the roundabout way is going to help you when you buy that first house; when you start that first business; when you marry the person God has for you!  Don’t worry about the delay.  He’s just taking you through a roundabout way to the blessing!  Have a Blessed Day!
