Leave a Voicemail
Good Morning. On our home phones, cellphones, and business phones we record voicemails when we cannot answer. This is the standard voicemail for most people, “Hey, this is [your name]. Thanks for reaching out. I’m busy at the moment, but if you leave your name, number, and message, I’ll return your call. “When the person leaves a voicemail we know who to call back. Sometimes we call them back and sometimes we don’t depending on who it is.
We do God the same way. He calls us and wants to talk to us about various things, but we don’t have time. We are busy doing life. We tell him in so many words to leave a message and we’ll get back to him as soon as possible. How do we know that when he is trying to call us, he’s not giving us a solution to that problem? How do we know he’s not trying to let you know that he is working it out for your good because this is something that is bigger than you?
Now you do know that God does not have to call us all the time? When we go in prayer or just say the name Jesus, we are calling on him. We can call and he will never send us to voicemail. God is always there when we reach out to him. Even though there are more than us calling on him, he still makes time for you and me. It can be through reading his word, a message by your pastor, or a call from a friend. Every day God is trying to call us to see what we need from him. Yes, he already knows what we need. He loves that you know that you can depend on him for everything that you need and want.
Stop sending God to voicemail and take time to listen to what he has to say to you. Have a Blessed Day!
