Tangible and Intangible Gifts
Good Morning. We hear people speak about gifts all the time. I’ve also mentioned them as well. Have you ever felt like your gift wasn’t tangible? Tangible means a thing that is perceptible by touch. Intangible means unable to be touched or grasped; not having a physical presence. The definition of gift is a natural ability or talent. I don’t feel like I have a tangible gift. When I think about a gift, I always think of it as something that you can actually see. For example, an individual that can sing, dance, or fix things with their hands. I can sing, but not to the point of an Adele or Beyoncé type singing. I can’t dance or fix things with my hands. So my question to myself the last couple of years has been, “Sebrena, what natural ability or talent do you have?” So far I haven’t come up with anything. I’ve been told in the past, I’m good with administrative work. I don’t consider it a gift. Anyone can do that if they have someone to show them. They actually have classes for that now. I don’t feel like I have a natural ability or talent. This has been my struggle for a long time. If you’re feeling like this, know that you’re not alone. Please leave me a comment(s) sharing with me how you feel about your gifts, lack of (in your mind), and what others have told you. I would love to hear from you! Have a Blessed Day!
