God’s Sacrifice – Our Sin

Good Morning. How many of us thank God for the sacrifice he made for us? I was studying and the spirit led me to 1 Peter 2:21-25. Read it when you get an opportunity.  In this text, it talks about how God suffered and died for us, yet this man had never sinned.  Let me repeat this.  God suffered and died for us, yet this man had never sinned.  We sin daily.

Why do we sin?  We sin because Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree that God told them not to eat of.  Go back and read Genesis 3.  Adam and Eve started the sin, but we continue the sin.  We sin knowing what God word says concerning sin.  Romans 6:23 (KJV) say, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

If you say you don’t sin, you do not speak the truth.  Let me say that there are no big sins or little sins.  Sin is sin.  We think just because we don’t kill or steal, we’re not sinning.  When you judge someone based on how they look or what they don’t have, you are sinning.  When you call your best friend to gossip about other members of the church, you are sinning.  When you fail to do what God has asked you to do, you are sinning.  When you sleep with that person’s spouse, you are sinning.  John 8:7 (KJV) says, “So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”  Remember that the next time you decide to throw a stone.

God sacrificed himself for each and every sin that we have done, what we’re doing right now, and what we will do.  Tell God thank you for his sacrifice!  Have a Blessed Day!
