Keep It A Good Habit

Good Afternoon.  This is the second day of being at work after my Thanksgiving break.  During my time off, I slept late, took naps, did nothing, etc.  You all know what I am talking about because you did the same thing.  What if you did the same thing during your time off as you would if you were going to work every day?  I am going somewhere with this.  I know you are thinking, “Why, that is my time off?”  If you did, maybe you wouldn’t have such a hard time getting back into the groove of things when it was time to return to work.  Well, apply that same concept to your spiritual life.  I have a habit of where I would start reading my bible every day, praying throughout the day, going to church on the days we have bible study and regular service, listening to my praise and worship music, etc.  I notice that when I stop, I have a hard time getting back into the groove of things.  Sometimes I even feel guilty because I have not been doing those things?  What if we praised God when we are the down the same way we praised him when we are up?  What if we made a habit of doing everything we needed to do to keep our spiritual life in tuned with him?  Now everything I have just written may not even apply to you.  If not, it is okay.  Just think about it.  Our life will not be without trials and tribulations because that is not what the word says.  Being in tuned with our spiritual life would help with the trials and tribulations because we are not focusing on the problem(s); we are focusing on the one that can solve the problem(s).  Have a Blessed Day!
