Your Instructions May Not Be My Instructions
Good Morning. My daughter is going to kill me, but I had to share the story in order to show you my point. One evening I told my daughter to cook hamburger helper for dinner. My instructions prior in reference to meat was to wash it before seasoning and cooking. My daughter followed my instructions to the letter. She washed and seasoned the hamburger meat before she started cooking it. I went in the kitchen, and when I saw the meat, I was just baffled. I asked her, “Why is it so runny?” The reply was that she washed it, and that I told her too. Needless to say, we ate something different that night. All of us have had the pleasure of following instructions from a manual to put something together before. We cannot follow the same instructions for putting up a blind that we would use to put up a ceiling fan. It just would not work. I would like to say that sometimes applies to our spiritual walk. The bible is our blueprint for this life that we live, but I dare to say that we may experience the same things for different reasons. Therefore, the scripture I may use to get me out of my storm maybe different than the scripture you use to get you out of the same storm because the lesson is different. There is a lesson in everything we go through. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) says, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” There was a purpose to your storm. What is the purpose? Only God knows, and with his help, you will come out stronger and better for it. Have a Blessed Day!
