Glass House

Good Morning.  I’m often baffled at how individuals can condemn others for the wrong that they are doing or have done.  We have all sinned, sinning right now, or will be sending in the near future. Romans 3:23 (KJV) says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Keyword is all.

It’s inevitable because we are made flesh.  Galatians 5:19-21 (NLT) says, “When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immortality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.  Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”  If you can tell me that you have not done any of those things, I truly commend you.  You are perfect, but we know that is not true because no one is perfect but God.  Matthew 5:48 (NLT) says, “But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.”

I know my message today contains a lot of scriptures.  I included them because we often believe or think that one sin is better than the other.  It’s not.  It’s all sin.  Your sin may look different from other’s sin.  Your sin may not be visible to others, but God sees it all.  God extends grace to us each and every day.  We need to do the same for others.  In John 8, the Pharisees brought a woman to Jesus stating that she was caught in the act of adultery.  John 8:5 (NLT), “The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”  As stated in verse 6, they were trying to trap Jesus.  When we get to verse 7, Jesus says, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!”  What kind of house are you living in?  Is it a brick house or a glass house?  If it’s a glass house, please make sure that nothing can penetrate it.  Have a Blessed Day!
