Peace over Everything
Good Morning. As I was writing this, I had tension all in my neck and shoulders to go along with the headache because of a phone call I received. Let me tell you something about the devil, he knows how to get you. I was on the phone earlier that day with a friend of mine talking about this blog. I was excited because I’m trying to walk in the will of God. Needless to say, that phone call took something out of me. I went home and laid down for hours. I had an anxiety attack behind the phone call. Thank God for good friends. They gave me the business because I let that phone call take my peace.
If you know me, you’ll know that peace is very important to me. If it takes my peace whether it’s a thing or person, it has to go. Long story short, it was gone. John 10:10 (NLT) says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
One thing about the devil is that he studies us. He knows who or what can get us out of character. He knows who or what can get us depressed, and lying in bed for hours or days. He knows who or what can get us off the path that God has set before us. Just like the devil studies us, recognize your triggers, and do not let the devil keep winning. Philippians 4:7 (NLT) says, “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Guard the gateway of your ears, heart, mind, and spirit. Let God’s peace reign when things get overwhelming. He will give it you. Have a Blessed Day!
