Feed Your Faith

Good Morning.  As you all know, on last week I started my physical fitness journey again.  For three out of the 7 days I was working out, I was having headaches.  My trainer gave me a meal plan to follow to help me detox and stop eating all the unhealthy food.  One thing we realize was that I was not getting enough protein to help with all the calories I was burning working out.  This week I’m glad to say the meal plan is better.

Just like we need food to fuel our body, we also need the word to fuel our faith.  Deuteronomy 8:3 (NKJV) says, “ So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.”

We watch our church service online because of the pandemic while others may attend in person thinking that will completely fuel their faith.  Don’t get me wrong, it helps.  Matthew 18:20 (KJV) says, “For where two or three are gathered together in my names, there am I in the midst of them.”   We as Christians need more than church on Sunday mornings, Bible study on Wednesday, and the occasion small group.

We need to study the word for ourselves.  2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  We need to see how God speaks to us while reading his word.  He can use his word to help you understand your situation better.  God can use his word to encourage you during life’s journey.  The one thing I love best is that he can give each of us the same scripture, but we all take a different meaning out of it.  I think that is awesome.  Read his word daily so that it can take root in your heart.  Use God’s word so when the devil comes, you know how to fight him off.  Feed your Faith today!  Have a Blessed Day!
