Following God’s Directions
Good Morning. I was talking to a young lady last night and she shared her desire for better. She was actually making steps to accomplish what she wanted. She also stated that she had been praying, and God showed her what she needed to do. Even in the midst of her praying and God answering, she doubted his word. As we do sometimes, we seek the guidance of others in situations. After she told me her situation, I gave my insight, but also asked her what the spirit said.
There is no better answer than the one that God gives us. James 1:5 (NLT) says, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.” I know I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating. God already knows what we need and want before we even ask. He wants us to come to him. That lets him know that we acknowledge the fact that we can’t make it without him. You Can’t!
If we want God to keep moving on our behalf. We have to do the things that he tells us to do. I was reading 1 Samuel 28 this morning which talks about Saul. Saul was asking God to help him. To give him guidance. God would not answer. Why? Because Saul did not do the last thing that God told him to do. What prayer has gone unanswered because you have not done what God told you to do?
