Who is Your God?

Good Morning.  We look at the world today, wondering how we got here.  There have been so much violence, police brutality, etc.  We may sometimes wonder where God is in all this.  God is omnipresent so he is everywhere.  God gave us all free will to do evil or to do good.  We have to make a conscious effort each day to do what is right.  It doesn’t have to necessarily mean violence.  It could be something as small as taking something that doesn’t belong to you.  They do not want to work for anything.  They either want someone to give them something or they steal it. 

Along the way, some individuals have forgotten who God is.  They forgot that he died so that they may have life and have it more abundantly.  They let the world define who they are which in turn causes them to do things that are not of God.  They began to love money, their career, power, cars, etc.  God is the one that provided it all.  He lends it out to us.  Job 1:21 (KJV), “And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”  In other words, they start to worship things, not God.  He can take it all away.

In the bible days, the people worshipped pagan Gods.  It’s amazing because we do the same thing now.  It just looks different.  Matthew 6:24 (NLT) says, “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.”  Who or what are you serving?  Who or what are you putting in front of God?  Have a Blessed Day!
