Paper or Plastic

Growing up and even as an adult, when asked in the grocery line if we wanted paper or plastic bags, I would always choose paper.  Why?  I believed that paper bags held more and were sturdier for holding the groceries.  What are your blessings being held in?  Paper or plastic bags?

God has our blessings stored up for us.  Every time we swipe our faith on the conveyer belt of life, God rewards us with his blessings.  He just needs for you to release your faith so that he can release his blessings.  Before I go further, know that God is going to always bless us.  This is not because of who we are, but because of who he is.  Now, how fast or slow you receive the blessings depends on you.  It comes down to your faith.

I know you are wondering what all of this has to do with the title.  If I had to choose between paper and plastic for my blessings, I would want plastic.  Plastic is not as sturdy even if double bagged.  They can break at any time.  I need those blessings to fall as quickly as possible.  I do not want anything holding my blessings back.  Matthew 9:29 (NLT) says, “Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.”  Please know because of your faith, it will happen.

I want to encourage you today to keep praying and believing for what it is that you want God to do for you.  Keep releasing your faith even when it seems like nothing is happening.  God sees and knows.  Your blessings are coming.
