Prepare For What You Want
Good Morning. About two weeks ago, I decided in all my infinite wisdom or the lack there of to race my sons, ages 9 and 13. I just knew I was going to win. The coach blew the whistle, and we took off or rather I tried. As soon as I took off, my feet started slipping. In order to keep myself from falling, I twisted my body to regain my balance. I didn’t feel it last night, but the next day, I was walking like an old woman. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” That is so true, but sometimes you need to prepare for those things you’re trying to do. For me, I should have been doing some kind of exercise before I took myself out on the field. To bring it even closer to home, a lot of us desire to be debt-free. If you’ve already accomplished this, high-five, but for the ones that haven’t, start researching if need be what needs to be done to get yourself to that point. Before you start preparing in the natural, make sure you prepare yourself in the spiritual. For our walk with Christ, we have to believe that those things we’re preparing for will come to be.
