What Are Your Talents?

^“And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.” Matthew 25:15 (NKJV)

Good Morning. In this scripture, the master gave each man a different number of talents (loaned money).  I want to use our gifts as being on loan from God today.  God gave each one of us gifts. One of my gifts is singing. I’ve been singing since I was in Pre-Kindergarten. Do I sing now? No, I don’t. I will help my father’s choir sing if they ask me too.  God gave each and every one of us different gifts as well. Let me just say, not everyone is musically inclined. Maybe your gift is organizing, praying, or just being an usher in the church. Whatever God gave you, it’s to be used for the up building of his kingdom. You were placed here for a reason. Your gift is your gift, and no one can do your gift like you. For example, you may say, “She can sing better than me.” Yes, she can, but when you sing, the people are moved by what they hear. It resonates with them. Whereas, with her, they know she’s just going through the motions. Never take what God has given you for granted. I hear this saying all the time, “If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it.” Will I one day go back to singing on a regular basis? I will. To be honest, I think I’ve lost confidence in myself where that is concerned. I do know God’s a restorer, so when it’s time, he’ll do what he needs to do within me. I want to be like the servant with the 10 talents. In Matthew 25:23, it says,  “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”
