Don’t Go

Good Morning.  I was listening to the radio yesterday.  A song by En Vogue called Don’t Go came on.  I have not heard the song in years.  A thought popped up in my mind.  What if we had the same passion for Christ that we had for people and things.  We are quick to run after people and things that mean us no good.  We cry.  We beg. We question God on why that person or thing has been taken away from us.  What if we cried and begged God for his presence in our life versus things on this earth. What if we told God on an everyday basis, Don’t Go.  We know based on his word that he will never leave nor forsake us.  Is there a possibility that is why?  For the simple fact, we know he got us regardless.  Just a thought.  We sometimes have the tendency to only want God in the storms. If this is not you, go you!  This is for the rest of us.  During the storms, we tend to pray, read our bible, go to church, serve others, etc.  We’re saying, “Lord, where are you? I cannot feel your presence right now.”  The same attitude we have during the storms is the same attitude we need to have when things are going good.  On a everyday basis, we need to tell God, “Don’t Go. I need you. I cannot make it without you.  You are my everything.”  We need to thank him everyday for things he does in our lives.  On some days we do not see the blessings, but we know he keeps us everyday.  Wake up everyday with a thankful heart saying, “Lord, I do not know what is going to happen today.  Just Don’t go. Don’t leave me to handle it all by myself.  I need you.”  Remember God Loves you!  Have a Blessed Day!
