One Person at a Time
Good Morning. I was writing the blog for Look Up Not In when this topic came to me. We as believers have a purpose here in the earth. Some purposes are the same but are done in different ways based on how God wants us to do it. God’s will not ours be done. Perfect example, God has called me to teach. When I thought about me teaching, the first thing that came to mind was standing in someone’s pulpit. Can I just say that was not what I wanted to do? I digress. LOL! Anyway, the main purpose is to share God’s word, and bring people to him.
I thought about the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15:1-7 (NLT) when God was talking to the tax collectors and sinners in the temple. I’m going to share it with you.
“Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach. 2 This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people—even eating with them!
3 So Jesus told them this story: 4 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. 6 When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!”
The world is lost right now. Will you as a believer do like the shepherd in the Luke 15:1-7, go out and try to save one that was lost. Start with your own family, then encourage them to save someone that is close to them. This is how we help save the world – One Person at a Time. Have a Blessed Day!
