Satisfied with Jesus
Good Morning. During devotion time at my father’s church we would sing a song called Satisfied with Jesus.
Satisfied with Jesus.
Lord, I’m satisfied with Jesus.
Satisfied with Jesus in my heart.
Lord, I feel the prayer wheel turning.
You can’t make me doubt him.
Feel the fire burning.
Sometimes I wish I could sing these old songs for you so you could get the full affect of what these older people sing about. We all have things we are seeking God for. We know in 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” God also said in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” I want to pose a question to you though. If he never does any of what you’re asking of him, would you be satisfied with just him? I’m not saying don’t be disappointed it didn’t come to pass. I’m saying would you praise God regardless? Would you still thank him for what he has done? Or would you turn to the world? As Christians, we watch the world prosper doing wrong. I know we sometimes wonder how can they prosper doing what they’re doing while we struggle trying to do right? At the end of the day we love God for who he is, not what he can do for us. Correct? I wonder if we were in church, if I would have gotten an Amen? Random thought. When you reflect today, ask yourself honestly, if you could be just Satisfied with Jesus, and nothing else? Have a Blessed Day!
