Keep Watering Your Spirit

“Don’t worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. 2 For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither.” Psalm 37:1-2

Good Morning. I was reading this passage of scripture yesterday during my study time. It reminded of the fact that God sees and knows all. There is so much happening in the world today. Individuals don’t think about how their actions can affect others or even themselves in the long run. In the above-mentioned scripture, God says, “Don’t worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong.” That lets me know that no matter what they have. No matter if it seems like they are getting over, it’s not how it is. In verse 2, “For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither.” Have you ever watched a flower die? It starts out all fresh, colorful, and green. After awhile, if not watered, it starts turning yellow. Eventually, it looks brown and dried up. Before, everyone loved to look at the flower. Be in its presence. Let’s think of that flower as your spirit. When you become saved, you’re so fresh and colorful.  Then life starts hitting you with blows. Well, you stop watering your spirit with God’s word on a daily basis, as you should. You stop thanking and praising him in the midst. Guess what, your spirit starts to brown and dry up. Maybe even die. Some people have never had their spirit watered with God’s word. There may have been some previously that did. Again, life happened; they stopped watering it. Don’t be like the individuals in the scripture. Keep watering your spirit so you can continue to look colorful and fresh. Never fading away or dying. Have a Blessed Day!
