Change Me
Good Morning. I’m trying to get in the habit of doing things a certain way, if at all possible, on certain days, to make my life go a little bit smoother. I have always had control issues. There were things that happened in my life that took all control from me. So needless to say, I have a need to have my hands in everything dealing with my life. The only problem with that is when you try to control everything, there is no place for God to do what he needs to do. Everyone has heard or either knows this scripture, Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) which says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” We read the scripture. On most days, we actually believe the scripture. “Why do you say on most days, Sebrena?” The reason being is when life comes up against us; we sometimes have the tendency to doubt his word. We’re facing the storms, and we’re wondering where God is because this storm is whipping our behind. Like I said last week, he is always there. God is there in the light as well as the darkness. We have to ask God to change us. Change us to be more like him. Change us to believe what he says about us is true. Change us to start thinking like him. God made us. Psalm 139:14 (KJV) says, “I will praise thee: for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are they works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” God did not make a mistake with you. Remember God loves you! I have been listening to this song everyday. Listen to the words. Have a Blessed Day!
