The Gift is Bigger than You
Good Afternoon. Have you ever been in awe of the gift(s) God has given you? You know without a shadow of doubt that if it was you, you couldn’t do it. You also know that without God in it, it will not serve the purpose as it should. Being in awe of your gift can also be a little scary or overwhelming. You’re almost scared to tap into the gift because (1) you feel inadequate (2) it’s a gift you may have not wanted such as being called to preach (3) you maybe worried about what others would think or say. God gave you the gift because he knew that your gift served a purpose bigger than you which is helping others. No, your gift is not yours just in case you thought that. I’m guilty of not using my gift. When I open myself up to it, it flows effortlessly. Case and point…me writing this blog. Get out of your way. If God didn’t know that you could do it, he wouldn’t have given you the gift. Think about that the next time you choose not to use the gift God gave you. Have a Blessed Day!
