A Team Player for Jesus
Good Morning. What is a team player? A team player is a person who plays or works well as a member of a team or group. When I was in elementary school, there was a part on the report card that said “plays well with others.” Did you get an E=Excellent, S=Satisfactory, or N=Needs Improvement? Some of us still have an N for Needs Improvement. LOL!
Being a team player for Jesus means speaking with unbelievers that do not know the Bible, speaking with believers that know the Bible, but only adhere to the verses that they feel are relevant to them. It may be going to places that you may deem is unacceptable to you. I do not know what that looks like for you, but you do. You know how God is using you or trying to use you unless you’re running. That’s a topic for another day. Matthew 9:37-38 (NLT) says, “He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
You’re going through your own storms, and God is asking you to speak into someone else in the midst of it. You are short this month paying your bills, and God is asking you to sow into someone else’s life. I did not say it would be easy, but it will be worth it. Proverbs 11:30-31 (NLT) says, “The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends. If the righteous are rewarded here on earth, what will happen to wicked sinners?”
The same grace that God affords us every day, we need to do the same for others. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23 (KJV). At the end of the day, be obedient to what God is asking you to do…be A Team Player for Jesus. Have a Blessed Day!
