The Flavor that is You
Good Morning. How many of you drink coffee? I love coffee with creamer to give it a little color. I’ll drink Starbuck’s on occasion, but I still prefer my Folger’s. I know the correct amount of coffee grinds to add to either make my coffee weak or strong. I guess you’re wondering where am I going with this. I’m having another moment today because God is so good. It’s amazing how he can use the simplest things to give someone a word.
So let’s get back to this coffee. Folger’s makes coffee in different ways. You can choose what blend, roast, or flavor you want. I prefer the Classic Roast – Medium myself. Just like Folger’s, we all have different flavors. No two people are alike. We may all have similarities, but at the end of the day, we are different just like our fingerprint.
So why do we choose to be any other flavor than the one God made us to be? Has someone told us we need to change this or that about ourselves? Are we comparing ourselves to others? Are you unhappy with what God made? Why would you? Psalm 139:14 (KJV) says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Yes, we add things to our coffee to make it taste better. The thing about our flavor is that we don’t need to add anything. God has already put everything in us to be just what he needs us to be. Accept the flavor that you are, and stop allowing others to add things that were not intended when God created you. Have a Blessed Day!
