Waiting on My Change to Come
Good Morning. I know the title of this blog resonated with you. When I tell you that waiting can be a beast sometimes. You have prayed, believed, cried, prayed some more, yet nothing has happened. It could be in your marriage, finances, business, children, etc.
I’m reminded of the scripture Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) which says, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Everyday your strength will be renewed because he knows waiting is hard to do. God knows you’re struggling to make ends meet. He knows your spouse is not there like they need to be. God knows your children have gone astray, and your business is in the red. God knows and he’s asking you to give him an opportunity to make it right.
Even if you can’t see it in the natural, God is working behind the scenes in the spiritual realm to answer each and every one of your prayers. Let me put this disclaimer out there. Your prayers being answered may not look like you expected, but it will be what’s best for you. If I can be transparent for a minute. In my second marriage, I was praying for the Lord to restore my marriage. It didn’t happen. Now, I’m divorced. He answered my prayer, but not in the way I wanted him too. I was hurt and mad. In the end, it was the best thing for me. Please do not take this example as a reason to leave your spouse. That is not what I’m saying at all. Continually seek him in all you do and lean not into your own understanding. Have a Blessed Day!
