Your Life – Half-Empty or Half-Full

Good Morning.  I know you are familiar with the question, “Is the glass half-full or half-empty?”  In my research, it says that pessimists see the glass as half-empty, optimists see the glass as half-full, and successful people see the glass as full.  How do you see it?

I can be honest and say that I’ve viewed the glass as all three.  I believe the half-empty or half-full concept plays a part in how we deal with life.  As long as life is going well, we may view it as half-full or full in some instances.  When the storms come, the glass is half-empty because we forget about all the times the glass was half-full.  Our focus becomes what is going wrong at this moment.

Why do we feel like this when his word should be so deep in our hearts, we cannot help but see the fullness that comes with life in Christ?  That blessed me while I was typing it.  God is good no matter how the glass (life) may look at this moment.  There is a song we used to sing called Trouble don’t last always.  James 1:2-4 (NLT) says, “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”

When you look at your life from this point on, think about how good God is despite of who you are.  If you do, you’ll always view your life as half-full or full.  Have a Blessed Day!
