God’s Word Being Delivered Out of Our Mouth

“Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.” Jeremiah 1:9 (KJV)

Good Morning.  I was studying Jeremiah 1:1-10 (KJV), and verse 9 stuck out to me.  I want to give you a little context of this passage of scripture.  This particular scripture was Jeremiah’s call as one of God’s prophets.  In the fifth verse which we are very familiar with: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”  It says after Jeremiah was called, God sanctified and ordained Jeremiah in his mother’s womb.  Wow! 

God knew what our purpose was in the earth before we were born.  Ephesians 4:11-12 (KJV) says, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” So you may be thinking, “Sebrena, I don’t think any of those titles apply to me?”  The official titles may not apply to you, but you were created to share God’s word and how good he is any capacity. 

Let’s go back to verse 9 above.  God has put the words in our mouth to share with his people.  Perfect example…me writing these blogs to share with you.  While I’m writing, God speaks to me.  He tells me what verses to cross reference so I can support what I’m writing to you.  If you decrease and let him increase, the words will flow out of your mouth or your fingertips in my case.  You would be surprised what comes out.  Give God the opportunity to use you.  You were called, sanctified, and ordained in your purpose.  Have a Blessed Day!
