Lost and Found
Good Morning. Last night between my son and I, we lost the remote to the television. We tore the living room up while searching in places that it has no place being, such being such as the refrigerator and pantry. We are still looking as we speak. We just can’t figure out where it could be.
How many of you remember the parable that Jesus told in Luke 15? In this parable, there was a man that had two sons. The younger son asked his father for his inheritance, and move to a foreign land. The son got to this land and spent all he had. The people that he partied with, and spent money on would not help him. You all know these people. Either you have dealt with them in the past or you are dealing with them now. They take, but never give back. The son was so low at this point that he became a citizen so he could he get a job. One day he was so hungry, he ate the food of the pigs. The son remembered his father. He was reminded that even the servants were treated better than he was at this point. The son decided he would go home and ask his father to become a servant. The father rejoiced and welcomed him back home. Not as his servant, but as his son.
God is the same way. No matter what, God will always welcome us back home. Every day, God is looking for his children that are lost. He will not give up on us. I know sometimes I get lost when life happens to me. I forget that God is so much bigger than whatever is going on. Luke 19:10 (KJV) says, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” God will always welcome us back. We just have to be willing to return. Have a Blessed Day!
