Applying God’s Wisdom in All We Do
Good Morning. How many of us can truly say we ask God for wisdom and understanding in every aspect of our lives? I can say right now that I do not, and I am totally being convicted as I am writing this post. I wonder why that is? We turn to others for insight before we turn to God. I can imagine how that makes God feel. Think about it. I will let you ponder that while I continue writing.
Over the last month, I have been faced with different situations that have caused me to question myself and others. I can recall going to God, but I am not sure if I waited on an answer. Anyway, I sought the wisdom from others to help me figure those things out. I even allowed those situations to cause me to get into a funk.
I was reading 1 Kings 3-1-15 (NLT) during my morning study time. It talks about Solomon asking God for wisdom and an understanding heart in order to lead his people and to make right decisions. When I read the study notes, it said that although Solomon asked for wisdom, he sometimes failed to make wise decisions in other areas of his life. He made a lot of wrong decisions and committed sins against God. While God can give us wisdom, it is up to us to apply the wisdom that is given.
We will not always make the right decisions as you all know. We are human. I would like to encourage you today like I’m encouraging myself to apply God’s wisdom in all aspects of your life. It will make things a whole lot easier for us. Have a Blessed Day!
