A Life of Surrender
Good Morning. I would like to tell you how God works. Last Tuesday, instead of doing a message of the week, I did a Word of the Day asking for your help in reference to me surrendering all aspects of my life. That same night, I met with my small group, and the topic for the week was A Life of Surrender. How ironic was that? I just had to share how I was feeling with them. It really helped me, and the next day I woke up feeling light. I’ve given it over to him. If I had not, I’d continue to worry, which would not have helped me one bit. I have to remind myself of this scripture. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) I want to share some scriptures with you that were given in the lesson. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Another scripture I would like to leave with you; Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Give it all over to him.
