The Proof is in the Pudding

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)

Have you ever read the bible, and was in awe of the stories?  Some of us would not have made it during that time.  I was studying this week, and two men came to mind when the title of this blog popped up in my head.  Those two men were Abraham and Job.  In Abraham’s old age, God gave him a son.  After giving Abraham Isaac, God told him to offer him as a sacrifice.  God had a ram in the bush for Abraham to offer instead, but what if he had not?  Read Genesis 22 for the full story.  When it came to Job, God allowed the devil to take everything Job had, believing that Job would not turn his back on God.  He did not, and God blessed him double for everything he lost.  Read Job 1 for the full story.     

God has proven over and over that his word does not come back to us void.  We have all had to sacrifice something.  We have all lost something.  Look at the faithfulness of Abraham and Job.  Even though it was hard, they believed that God knew what was best for their lives.  I am quite sure they wanted to question God like we oftentimes do.  This is my opinion.  I believe we never want to go through anything, but we want everything.  We know that is not how life works. 

There is a song that is titled, “If He did it before, He can do it again.”  Believers, if he did it for you one time, he can do it for you again.  We must trust and have faith in the process.  Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV) says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.”   He will be your help.

The Proof has been in the Pudding for a long time. Remember each time God showed up when you did not know how you would make it.  He keeps showing us repeatedly that he is faithful.
