Waiting on God

Have you ever asked God for something, and it seemed like it was taking forever? You’re like God, Really? Better yet, can you even admit that you feel that way? Yesterday was a holiday, so I got an opportunity to just relax at home with the kids. I journal a lot so I was just thinking about prayers I’d written. Prayers that right now, I’m still waiting on God to answer. We ask God for things. Some things, he’s just not going to give us for the simple fact, it’s not his will for our life. We need to be okay with that because evidently it wasn’t his best. The Lord puts within us visions and dreams. No, we just didn’t come up with that multi-million idea on our own. He had to plant that seed in order for us to move, or for some of us, not move. You know who you are! You won’t move out of fear, rejection, etc. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) say, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” I’ve found that God shows me the end before he shows me the beginning or the middle. He never shows me what it would take to get to the end. The thing about waiting on God is that it’s a process. If he gave it to us when we wanted it, we wouldn’t appreciate it as much. He knows that you’re ready to debt-free. He knows that you’re ready to be married to the one he predestined for only you. Don’t give up on God. “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14 (NKJV) Stay on course during your process. If you get off course, he loves you enough to steer you back. Have a Blessed Day!
