Don’t See as the World Sees
Good Morning. How many of us look at people who we feel are less than us with disdain on our face? Don’t deny it because we all do. Oh my goodness, please don’t let them walk into the church. Some churches would gladly walk them back out, and in some instances, they have. Acts 10: 34 (NKJV) says, “Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.” God doesn’t care about what we look like. He cares about our soul. He wants to see all of us in the day of judgment. As Paul stated in Philippians 2:29 (NKJV), “Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness, and hold such men in esteem;” Two key words I want to point out: receive and gladness. Receive means to take into one’s possession (something offered or delivered). Gladness means feeling of joy or pleasure; delighted; pleased. Each one of us is a gift of God. We should receive that person (gift) into our church, lives, and heart with a feeling of joy just like God receives us on a daily basis. He loves each and every one of us despite our mess. 1 John 1:8 (NKJV) says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” Some of you look good on the outside, but if we were to come behind your doors, what would we see? I just wanted to give you food for thought. Today, befriend that person, who on first appearance, you deemed unworthy. Today, see them as God sees you everyday! Have a Blessed Day!
