God’s Promises
Good Morning. There are so many promises that are in the bible. In order for you to know what God has for you, you have to read your bible. The first promise I want to talk about is God’s love:
What is love? Love is an intense feeling of deep affection or a person or thing that one loves. Love – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NKJV) “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16 (NKJV). Each day that you open your eyes is a testament of his love for us.
What is hope? Hope is the feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. It also is a feeling of trust and wanting something to happen or be the case. Hope: Titus 1:2 (NKJV) states, “in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.”
What is peace? Peace is the freedom of the mind from annoyance, distraction, anxiety, an obsession, etc.; tranquility; serenity. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 (NKJV)
God’s love for me, the hope I have in him, and the peace he gives are three things I rely on heavily. Sometimes I let flesh come in, and I forget those three, I admit. I don’t let it for long periods of time, and neither should you. Have a Blessed Day!
