File the Claim with Jesus
Over the weekend, one of the cellphones on my account was stolen. I was not tripping as the cellphone is paid for and I have insurance on it. One of the processes when a phone is lost or stolen is to file a claim with the cellphone provider’s insurance company. I filed, the new phone was shipped, and all is well. There are somethings that have been lost and stolen in your life. When was the last time you filed a claim with Jesus?
We know that God sees and knows all. He knows what we will go through before we do. Some of the things we have lost are because of bad decisions while others may be because the devil played a hand in it. We know that the devil is always busy. I do not know about you, but I want my stuff back. As a matter of fact, I am trusting God to give me better than I had before.
I asked a question earlier that said, “When was the last time you filed a claim with Jesus?” I know you’re thinking, what does she mean? When was the last time you went in prayer and asked God to restore what is lost and/or stolen? Isaiah 65:24 (NLT) says, “I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!” When is the last time you repeated God’s word back to him? Starting repeating what his word says about you. In Isaiah 55:11 (NLT) it says, “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” When is the last time you cried tears? Psalm 126:5-6 (NLT) says, “Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.”
Yes, God knows and will replenish, but he needs to know that you trust him enough to give him everything you are feeling; the good, the bad, and the ugly. He will restore what was lost and/or stolen.
