Keep Your Voice
Good Morning. When I started this blog it was to help others during their walk of faith. Along this journey so far, I’ve come to realize a few things about myself. Growing up and during my early twenties, I was what you would call rebellious. You couldn’t tell that now though. I did certain things to obtain attention because I felt lacking in some areas. Still do, but working on it. During that time, my voice was one that would be heard loud and clear. I didn’t hold my tongue because I didn’t care. Now my voice is one that I rarely use unless it’s in writing, and mostly where others can’t read it (journaling). Oh, how I want my voice back. More than anything I want the confidence of who Sebrena was during that time. I’m so lacking that now, but you couldn’t tell it unless you know me very well or I tell you as I’m doing now. Don’t let anyone or anything steal your voice as I have done. Others made me feel like my voice was not important so therefore I went inward. Now when I say use your voice, do it in a way that is befitting a follower of Christ. Psalm 34:13 (NKJV) says, “Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit.” Sometimes we will fail because we are flesh. Ask forgiveness, and keep it moving. Have a Blessed Day!
