Pursue Jesus
Good Morning. Tuesday night was the last night of the small group I attended through the Church of the Highlands. The word that our co-leader gave us in the beginning was the word pursue. Pursue means to (of a person or way) continue or proceed along (a path or route). It also means to follow (someone or something) in order to catch. I want to encourage you today to pursue Jesus. He is the one we need to catch so that he can show us how to proceed along the path that he has destined for us. Isaiah 55:6 (NKJV) says, “Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.” God loves when we come and talk to him whether it’s in pain, sorrow, or happiness. He desires to know everything we’re going through. You’re probably thinking, “I thought he knows everything already?” He does. Think of God as the best friend you call when different things are going on in your life. Start your conversation like this, “God guess what happened today?” He needs and wants to hear about the good, bad, and the ugly. Another song we would sing. Have a Blessed Day!
