No One is Exempt
Good Morning. As I reflect on everything that has transpired since the outbreak of the COVID-19, I have noticed that no one has been exempt from the affects of the virus. No, we are not all sick. We are quarantined with the expectation that it will help stop the spread of the virus. No, some of us have not lost our jobs. We are given the opportunity to work from home. Yes, some of us are offered assistance in some way to help with the burdens. Yet and still, some of us are still not seeing that in the midst of everything, God is still taking care of us. We are still complaining. We wake up in the morning thanking God, yet when we hear more bad news, God is nowhere to be found. When it is a possibility that the quarantine will be extended, we are complaining. Where is your faith? Since this time of quarantine, I have been reading my bible more. (Just a sidebar, the bible has some really cool stories in it. If you don’t understand the King James Version, consider reading the Message or New Living Translation.) I cannot stop comparing us to the children of Israel. No matter what God did for Israel, they turned their backs on him. We are doing the same thing. When we have no respect for another human life, that is sin. Please understand I’m not only talking about violence. That was just an example. Sin is Sin. No sin is greater than another sin. Romans 3:23-24 (KJV) says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” There is a lot going on in this world that we as believers choose to ignore like it is not there. We see it everywhere. Revelation 22:12-13 (NLT) says, “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” No One is Exempt when God comes back because he is coming. What will you say when you are standing in front of him on judgement day? Have a Blessed Day!
