Faith Muscle

Good Morning. At some point in our lives we have done some form of exercise.  That first day you feel all right for the most part. The next couple of days or weeks you may be very sore. You probably can barely move because you haven’t used those muscles in awhile. That also happens when you do not use your faith muscle. We have trials and tribulations that God does not orchestrate that take place in our lives.  On the other side of that, we have trials and tribulations take place because God wants you to turn back to him.  Either way, God is the answer.  When building up our faith muscle, we must pray, read our word, and listen to God on a daily basis.  This helps when we struggle with the obstacles that sometimes happen in our lives.  We also use the faith muscle when we have visions and dreams.  Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  I know for me, sometimes it is hard using the faith muscle to envision all that I want in this life.  Doubt and fear starts creeping in.  When that happens, everything that I have done to build up my faith muscle just degenerates.  I either have to start back from the beginning or try to maintain where I am by remembering what God has for me.  Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”  Your faith muscle is there.  You have to use it in order for it to get stronger. It’s just like your physical muscles, the less you use them, the harder it is to get back on track. The thing about using your muscles is that they have muscle memory. Once you start back working out, it gets easier and easier. It’s never too late to start back. The Lord loves you. He is not going anywhere. God is ready for you to build that muscle again. Start today. Have a Blessed Day!
