Some, but Not All
Good Morning. I was laying in bed this past Sunday just talking to God, asking him what I should talk about in this weeks post. He brought back to my remembrance the Children of Israel. I’ve noticed in my reading about them that very seldom did everything that God told them to do. Most recently, I read about Saul in 1 Samuel 15. God told Saul to destroy the Amalekites. Everyone including the animals. Saul did some of what God said, but not all. He did indeed destroy the people, but saved the best of some of the animals. Please go back and read to get the full details. God rejected Saul. Aren’t we like Saul sometimes though? We want to do some of what God says, but not all. God says trust him with your whole heart and have faith, but we still have doubts concerning his promises. God says he will fight your battles, yet we take it into our own hands. God said that he would lead and guide us, but we make moves without talking to him. In our relationship with God we cannot be just Some, We have to be All the Way In. One thing about God though is that he never leaves us, even when we do not do right. It would seem that God would have gotten tired of the Children of Israel. He did not because he kept waiting on the all and not just the some. He does not get tired of us either. Start giving God not just some, but all of you! Have a Blessed Day!
