New Year New You
“Seek the Kingdom of Godabove all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:33-34 (NLT)
Good Morning. Normally, when we hear the term New Year New You, we think about what we will do to better ourselves. We say things like, we’re going to get healthier, become debt-free, pray more, open a business, read the bible, etc. Sometimes none of those things are achieved because of life. Are those good things to strive for? Yes, but what if it doesn’t happen? Do you still strive to finish what you started, or do you just quit? I pray that you do not in this season or any season for that matter.
If 2020 has taught us anything, is that life is short, and tomorrow is not promised. We all have dreams, goals, things that we want to accomplish, etc. Do not get discouraged if it does not happen when you think it should. Do not get discouraged if it does not look like what you thought it would. Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” It’s going to happen. You just have to stay the course. If you fall off, guess what? It is okay, get back on. Do not stop trying. Luke 1:37 (KJV) says, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
I want to encourage you during 2021 to seek God in everything you do. Pray for his continual guidance. Invite him into your day on a daily basis, and watch God work. Have a Blessed Day!
