Give your Vital Parts to Jesus
Good Morning. We, as believers, all wrestle with trying to do right on an everyday basis. Some days are not as bad as others. We sometimes have road rage, and want to follow the car, and curse that person out. We sometimes just want to tell this one coworker to shut up. Nobody really cares about what you are saying knowing that it could hurt that person feelings. We sometimes have sex outside of marriage because we want the intimacy of the connection because we are lonely. We all face temptation because the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41 (NLT) says, “Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” We have to be able to resist when the devil brings things that are not of God to us.
We do this by giving our vital parts to Jesus on a daily basis. What are those vital parts? Matthew 22:37 (NLT) says, “Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”
What does that mean for us as Christians?
- It means giving God our heart. Proverbs 23:26 (NLT) says, “O my son, give me your heart. May your eyes take delight in following my ways.”
- Your soul finding rest in God. Psalm 62:1 (NIV) says, “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.”
- Focusing your thoughts on his word. Colossians 3:2 (NKJV) says, “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”
Did I say it would be easy? No, it will not. Will you fail on some days? Yes, you will. It will be okay. The more you surrender to God, it becomes easier for you to do. This day choose to give God your whole heart, soul, and mind. Have a Blessed Day!
