Let It All Hang Out

Good Afternoon.  Earlier this week, I mentioned how tired I was based on this past drill weekend, and not having a day off.  Tomorrow is Saturday which will be my first day off in 12 days.  Thank you Jesus!  Even though my body has recuperated from its physical tiredness, I must say I am mentally tired.  I’m the type of person that holds things close to the chest.  I may talk to God about it, but depending on how I feel, no one else will know the mental turmoil I may be in.  I have gotten better over the years, but it’s still a struggle for me sometimes.

God knows everything.  He sees everything.  There is nothing that God doesn’t know about our life; past, present, or future.  I would at times not talk to God about what was wrong like he didn’t know already.  Crazy huh…LOL!  Jeremiah 1: 5 (NIV) say, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Why not talk to the one that made you?  Psalm 139:14 (NIV) say, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”  There is nothing about you that God does not love.  Yes, he may get angry at your actions because we sometimes do things that are not of him.  It doesn’t change his love for us.

Talk to God about what’s going with you.  He needs to know that you trust him with the good, bad, and ugly.  I have done things that God forgave me for before I even forgave myself.  There are things that I would not deal with because I was ashamed.  Take everything to God in prayer.  I’m reading this book called Reposition Yourself: Living Life Without Limits by T.D. Jakes.  One quote I love from the book, “You can only correct what you are willing to confront.”  Let It All Hang Out.  Have a Blessed Day!
