Setting and Knowing Your Boundaries

Good Morning.  When I was younger, I really did not know what boundaries were.  I allowed a lot of things to take place in my world because I wanted to please everyone and make them happy when my peace was being slowly obliterated.  I was taking on things that were not mines to bear.

Some of you are taking on things that are not meant to be yours.  As I have stated before, peace is very important to me.  If it disrupts my peace, it or someone has to go.  I am not saying that you cannot be a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on if needed but leave it at that.  What I am saying is you can’t take it on as something you have to handle or fix for them.  That burden was not meant for you to carry.  God’s word says he’ll put no more on you than you can bear.  That does not include someone else stuff.  I’m just saying.  He will lead and guide you if your help is needed.  You will have to ask him for discernment to know when.

Set and know what your boundaries are. Don’t allow others to make you feel that your boundaries are not needed.  You have the power to allow what you want into your life.  It could negative or positive.  It depends on you.  If you set boundaries and make them know, others will have no choice, but to accept them and abide by them.  Don’t feel guilty either.  It’s a part of your self-care.  Have a Blessed Day!
