Work Until Jesus Comes
Good Morning. As Christians our overall goal should be to one-day see Jesus. Our life here on earth is only temporary. We want eternal life with Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV) says, “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” As we patiently wait on Jesus’ return, we are to still bring other non-believers to Christ. There is much work to be done here on earth. Matthew 9:37 (NKJV) says, “Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” While we wait, there is much we can do to build up God’s kingdom. So how can you help build up God’s kingdom? By the life you live. God was our example. “20 Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you. 21 For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.22 He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.” 1 Peter 2:20-22 (NLT) Is it hard? Yes, because Jesus is the only perfect one. He knows we will make mistakes. Just don’t stop. Jeremiah 17:10 (NLT) says, “But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” Have a Blessed Day!
