Are You the Problem or Solution?
“When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.” Proverbs 28:2 (NLT)
There is so many ways I could go with the scripture above. Especially when it comes to a political standpoint. The last four years have been challenging to say the least. I did not choose that route because this is not a political blog, and I am not a political person. Let us just say the proof was in the pudding. There are so many ways that you can contribute to the toppling of a nation. This begins with your everyday life.
What do you mean Sebrena? I am so glad you asked. The selfishness that is so prevalent in society affects others in so many ways. I would like to give you some examples. Any time you steal from your place of business helps topples the government. The supplies bought or the money made is for the growth of the company. I have taken from my job as well, so I am not the pot calling the kettle back. A person that drinks and drives acts selfishly contributes to the problem. It is easy to have accidents sober, consider what happens when you are not fully alert to pay attention to your surroundings. There is a possibility that you may kill yourself or others. You will leave a hole in someone’s heart if that happens. A selfish spouse that has an affair contributes to the problem. They not only tear up their household, but the household of the other person as well.
You may not have done any of the things mentioned. That is good. The question you need to ask is what have you done? I am not judging at all. Only God can judge us, and he will. I encourage you to have a positive affect on others around you. Let them see you try to live the life that God wants for us all. There will be times when selfishness rises within us. We are flesh. Think about what it is. Is it worth it? Ask yourself, are you part of the problem of solution?
