Created for Such a Time as This
I’m sure I have mentioned this through the years, but the Lord showed me vividly what my purpose is on this earth. Of course, I rebelled against it because it was not what I (1) wanted to do (2) felt qualified to do, and (3) like what came with it. I had to come to realize that it was not the end all be all to His vision for my life.
I was studying Esther 4 during one of my study sessions. In the 14th verse, Mordecai presented the question to her, “Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time is this?”(NLT) I’m pretty sure Esther had her doubts because I would have too. To possibly put your life on the line for something that King may not have cared about is crazy. That is the thing about fulfilling your purpose sometimes, it looks crazy. I would like to say that even though it may not look like it or feel like it, you were created for such a time as this.
Let’s bring it a little closer. I like to give examples sometimes to bring my point home. The Lord told you to move, and leave everything that you know and love. You are going somewhere where you do not know anyone. You are basically starting over. You trust God, but it does not look or feel like you thought it would. You were created for such a time as this.
You told the Lord that you were ready for this promotion where you can further learn and grow. He opens the door for you to get the job. What you didn’t know was that you would come into a department where there was no structure and the last supervisor allowed the staff to do what they wanted to do. If you are honest, you are now questioning the ask of wanting the promotion. It could be you are asking God why He didn’t warn you. The Lord knows they need you. You were created for such a time as this.
Wherever you are in this season, just know you were created for such a time as this.The Lords knows how much you can bear. Trust him like Esther did, She could have been killed. Please read the whole chapter when you have time. The old folks say, “If He brought you to it, He’ll bring you through it.”
